Any wall stain is likely to be below the actual location of the leak and you’ll probably need to remove part of the wall to find it. Without the sound of running water and without drips or stains as evidence, leaking pipes are more difficult to find. Using a flashlight, check all the pipes in the in the crawl space of your home.

After you discover a water leak, turn off the main water valve. This will prevent any more water from entering your home, creating an even larger plumbing problem and water damage. This should temporarily fix almost any plumbing problem until we can come out and permanently fix the leaking pipes.
